Three allege injuries in collision with Pizza Hut driver

Car accident 28

EDWARDSVILLE – Two adults and a minor child allege they were injured after a Pizza Hut driver ran a stop sign and collided with their vehicle.

William Molkenbur, individually and as next friend of Kaedin Molkenbur, and Andrea Blunt filed a complaint on Oct. 10 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Russel R. Jett, Realty Income Properties No. 4 LLC and Pizza Hut of America Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 2, 2016, the plaintiffs were in a motor vehicle traveling on Lake Road near its intersection with Highland Road when they were struck by the vehicle being driven by Jett while he was in delivery duties for Realty Income and Pizza Hut.

They allege they sustained injuries all over their bodies that required emergency medical care and treatment.

The plaintiffs allege Jett negligently disobeyed the stop sign on Highland Road, failed to maintain careful lookout and failed to yield to other vehicles.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment for damages of more than $50,000 each, plus costs expended for this action.

They are represented by John Malec of Martin, Malec & Leopold PC in St. Louis.
