By Lhalie Castillo | Sep 19, 2017

BELLEVILLE – A motorist is seeking damages from a Cook County resident after a crash on Interstate 55.

Lashanda Bradford filed a complaint on Aug. 29 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Susan Trychta alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 9, 2016, she was traveling south on Interstate 55 in St. Clair County when her motor vehicle was struck by the vehicle being driven by defendant. She alleges she has suffered severe injuries resulting in pain, lost wages and loss of enjoyment of life.

The plaintiff holds Trychta responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to be attentive while driving and failed to take evasive actions to avoid collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000 and such other relief that the court may deem just and proper. She is represented by Matthew P. Young of Kuehn, Beasley & Young PC in Belleville.
