EDWARDSVILLE — An estate administrator is suing several nursing home facility operators for allegedly failing to protect the patient from abuse and neglect.

Shirley Richardson, as special representative and estate administrator of the estate of Laura Hensley Manns, deceased, filed a complaint on Aug. 28 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Alton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center LLC, Senior Healthcare Management LLC, et al, alleging they failed to provide proper medical.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that as a result of the defendants' negligence Manns suffered pressure ulcer, malnutrition, weight loss infection, sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction. She died Jan. 24, 2016.
