Passenger alleges injuries from rear-end collision in Stookey Township

Car accident 03

BELLEVILLE – A Belleville man alleges he was injured in a Stookey Township collision.

Christian A. Baca filed a complaint on Aug. 16 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Deena K. Scott, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 9, 2015, he was a passenger in a motor vehicle being driven by Corey M. Meister. They were stopped at a light at the intersection of Frank Scott Parkway near Belleville Crossing when the defendant negligently struck the rear of their vehicle.

Baca claims he sustained serious and debilitating injuries to his back and other parts of his body.

The plaintiff alleges Scott failed to maintain a safe distance, failed to sound warning of her approach and operated her vehicle at a dangerous speed.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount of more than $25,000, plus interest, costs of suit and any further relief as the court deems just and proper.

He is represented by John H. Fredrick Jr. of The Fredrick Law Firm LLC in Chesterfield, Mo. and Harold T. McCall of Wyatt Wright LLC in St. Louis.
