Materials supplier sues construction company for alleged failure to make payments

BELLEVILLE — A construction materials supplier is suing Miese Brothers Construction for allegedly failing to make payments.

Liese Lumber Co., Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 17, in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Miese Brothers Construction Inc. alleging the construction company failed to fulfill its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, Liese Lumber alleges that on numerous days and numerous times it delivered goods and services to Miese Brothers, but the defendant failed to make payments on the transaction. The balance amount of $68,241.20 remains due and owing, the suit states.

The plaintiff alleges Miese Brothers failed and refused to make payments for the debt despite demands for payment.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $68,241.20, plus pre-judgment interest, costs of this suit and such other just and appropriate relief.
