Godfrey woman sues over Alton accident

A Godfrey woman is accused of rear-ending another car while driving in Alton.

Oscar and Kathleen Robbins filed a lawsuit Nov. 12 in Madison County Circuit Court against Jocelyn O'Quinn.

The Robbinses say they were driving a Jeep Cherokee south on Homer Adams Parkway on May 13. As they exited the parkway at College Avenue, the Robbinses claim they stopped at the intersection to allow westbound traffic to clear. At that time, O'Quinn, driving a Buick Century directly behind them, allegedly crashed into the back of the Robbinses' Cherokee.

Both Oscar and Kathleen claim they were hurt in the crash and accuse O'Quinn of negligence. They seek a judgment of more than $100,000 in damages for medical expenses and court costs.

The Robbinses are represented by the Reed & Bruhn law firm of Madison County.
