Sivia Business & Legal Services purchases Carlyle Abstract Company

Attorney Todd W. Sivia, founder of Sivia Business & Legal Services, P.C., and attorney Jack H. Humes announced their purchase of Carlyle Abstract Company’s assets and property.

Kenneth Mehochko will no longer serve as president of Carlyle Abstract Company, but will retain his law practice from that same location, the parties announced.

Mehochko said that Carlyle Abstract Company will remain in the same building with the same employees providing clients with the same services. It will just see new owners, allowing it to expand its reach into new markets.

Sivia said the sale will allow the company to grow to Marion, Washington, Clinton, Bond, Madison, Macoupin and Jersey counties.

“We aren’t interested in changing the structure or focus of Carlyle Abstract,” Sivia said. “We simply want to continue moving the company forward and see it grow.”

Carlyle Abstract Company was founded in 1950 and handles both residential and commercial closings, as well as refinanced loan support.

Carlyle Abstract Company is located at 1010 Franklin Street, Carlyle and can be reached at 618-594-3421.

Sivia Business & Legal Services, P.C. is an asset protection law firm focusing on general business law, real estate, estate planning, probate, and elder law.
