As it expands into the Kansas City market, Sandberg Phoenix has announced that attorney Mark Murphy has become a member of its Business Litigation Practice Groups.
“With his expertise and history in the Kansas City area, Mark will help Sandberg Phoenix better meet the needs of our existing clients in the area while also bringing a number of new clients on board,” said Sandberg Phoenix Managing Partner John Sandberg. “Mark is an excellent attorney and embodies our commitment to providing superior client service. He is exactly who we were hoping to find as we looked to expand into the Kansas City market.”
Murphy studied business with an emphasis in finance at Truman State University. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, with distinction, where he was a member and business editor of the Law Review. He comes to Sandberg Phoenix after operating his own practice since 1995. He is also very active in the Kansas City community, providing pro bono services to various not-for-profit companies, such as youth soccer and volleyball organizations.
He is admitted to practice law in Missouri and Kansas and is a member of the Missouri, Kansas City Metropolitan, Johnson County and Kansas Bar Associations. Mark has been honored as a recipient of the Who's Who in America award for 2007 and 2008, and as a Super Lawyer in 2012.
He and his wife Susan have twin sons and reside in Overland Park, Kan. He enjoys coaching his sons in basketball and soccer, racquetball, golf and reading.
