A Wayne County man is accused of running a red light and crashing into another driver in Fairview Heights.
Bruce Denny filed a lawsuit against Scott Abbott Feb. 28 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Denny says he was driving west on Fountains Parkway in March 2011 and attempting to make a left turn onto Illinois Route 159 at the time of the crash. Abbott, driving north on Route 159, allegedly failed to stop at the red light at the intersection of Fountains Parkway and crashed into Denny's car.
Denny accuses Abbott of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses plus court costs.
