A St. Clair County woman says she was hurt when her car was hit by a truck while driving in Caseyville.
Lisa Grimes filed a lawsuit Sept. 28 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Brian L. Walkington and SAIA Motor Freight Lines LLC.
Grimes says she was driving south on Black Lane in December 2011 when Walkington, driving a Volvo truck owned by SAIA Motor Freight Lines, pulled out of a private drive on the 2400 block of Black Lane. That was when Walkington crashed his truck into Grimes' car, according to the petition.
Grimes accuses Walkington and his employer, SAIA Freight Lines, of negligence and asks for more than $100,000 in damages for medical expenses and court costs.
She is represented by attorney Bruce E. Mattea of Collinsville.
