A Troy woman says she was hurt when she was hit by another driver from Maryville.
Nicole L. Richardson filed a lawsuit against Calvin R. Johnson April 27 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Richardson says she driving her Ford Probe south on Illinois State Route 158 in April 2010 when she had to slow down to avoid hitting traffic in front of her. Richardson alleges Johnson, who was driving a Pontiac Grand Am, failed to slow down and crashed into the back of the Probe.
Richardson says the impact of the crash caused her serious injuries and contends Johnson's negligence is to blame. She is asking for an undisclosed amount of money in damages for medical bills, lost wages and court fees.
