Faulstich

The wife of a recently deceased man blames her husband's death on an Alton hospital.

Addie Ewing filed a lawsuit Feb. 8 in Madison County Circuit Court against Alton Memorial Hospital and B.C. Emergency Physicians.

In her complaint, Addie Ewing alleges her husband, Jesse Ewing, died on June 4 as the result of treatment he received at Alton Memorial Hospital by employees of B.C. Emergency Physicians. Addie Ewing does not provide any further specifics regarding her husband's death.

"The resulting death of Jesse Ewing resulted from direct and proximate negligence of defendants," the suit states.

Because of her husband's death, Addie Ewing and their three children lost his services, society, support and companionship, the complaint says.

In her complaint, Addie Ewing is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.

Richard A. Faulstich of Alvin Wolff Jr. and Associates in St. Louis will be representing her.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 12-L-179.
