Show Me Home Delivery sued over Swansea accident

A man and his wife have filed suit against the driver who they claim rear-ended their vehicle.

Dwayne Bova claims he was stopped for a traffic light at the intersection of Frank Scott Parkway and North Illinois Route 159 in Swansea on July 10, 2010, when defendant Paul Joseph Harrison, who was driving a vehicle for defendant Show Me Home Delivery, rear-ended his vehicle.

Because of the collision, Dwayne Bova suffered severe and permanent injuries, incurred medical costs, lost his normal life and lost wages, according to the complaint filed Dec. 29 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

Kelly Bova also claims she lost her husband's love, companionship, consortium and society because of the injuries he sustained.

Harrison negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to keep his vehicle under proper control and failed to reduce his speed to avoid a collision, the suit states.

In their four-count complaint, Dwayne and Kelly Bova seek a judgment of more than $300,000, plus costs.

Eric Kirkpatrick of Kirkpatrick Law Offices in Belleville will be representing them.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 11-L-700.
