Route 158 rear-end accident causes injuries, suit claims

By Andrea Dearden | Nov 23, 2011

A St. Clair County woman is accused of rear-ending several cars while driving in Fairview Heights.

Bradley M. Nipper filed a lawsuit Nov. 17 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Mary Williams.

Nipper says he was stopped at a red light on Illinois Route 159 in November 2010 when Williams crashed into the back of another car that was stopped behind Nipper's vehicle. Nipper claims the impact caused a chain reaction that caused his vehicle to be struck from the rear.

Nipper says the rear-end crash caused damages to his vehicle and multiple injuries to his body that he says caused him ongoing pain, suffering and disability. He accuses Williams of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages to compensate for medical bills, a loss of income and court costs.

Attorney Brad L. Badgley of Belleville is representing Nipper.
