Injuries claimed in Route 4 accident

A Macoupin County woman claims she sustained a permanent disability after a driver failed to yield at an intersection, causing a collision.

Myna L. Hedden filed a lawsuit Oct. 31 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Gary S. Henderson.

In her complaint, Hedden alleges she drove her 1990 Ford F150 truck south on Illinois Route 4 in St. Clair County on Nov. 6, 2009, when Henderson, who drove his 2000 Dodge Dakota east on Faust Road, failed to yield the right-of-way at an intersection and collided with Hedden's truck.

In addition to her disability, Hedden endured pain and suffering, experienced a permanent disability and incurred medical costs because of the collision.

She seeks an unspecified judgment, plus other relief the court deems just.

Rick Verticchio of Verticchio and Verticchio in Gillespie will be representing her.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 11-L-615.
