Alton attorney Lanny Darr was elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA) at its recent annual convention.
Darr is a partner atSchrempf, Kelly, Napp & Darr, Ltd.
He represents individuals injured in all types of actions including medical malpractice, nursing home neglect cases and wrongful death actions throughout Missouri and Illinois.
MATA was founded in 1951 by attorneys dedicated to obtaining just results for their injured clients.
Over 1,200 attorneys now belong to the association and are dedicated to continuing to protect the rights of injured individuals.
MATA provides legal education seminars, facilitates the sharing of legal resources and provides the results of that research and expertise to members of the Missouri General Assembly.
For the last several years MATA has operated "Trial Lawyers Care," a program dedicated to provide immediate free legal advice to individuals harmed by natural disasters. Most recently "Trial lawyers Care" has provided MATA lawyers to assist in advising those affected by the tornadoes in Joplin, Mo.
