A St. Clair County woman is suing the driver of a car that allegedly turned in front of her, allegedly causing a crash in Swansea.

Amy E. Wolfe-Hart filed a lawsuit in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Pepper A. Hartney.

According to the petition, Wolfe-Hart was driving west on Frank Scott Parkway in June 2009. As she approached the intersection of Highway 159, Wolfe-Hart says Hartney, driving east, tried to turn left onto Highway 159. Hartney allegedly crashed into Wolfe-Hart.

Wolfe-Hart accuses Hartney of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court fees.

Attorneys Gregory D.Abel, Charles A. Lukis, Julie A. Blanks and Jason D. Van Hemert of Decatur are representing Wolfe-Hart.
