A Collinsville woman is accused of negligence after allegedly turning her car in front of another driver.
Angela M. Barker filed the negligence claim against Theresa D. Billy on May 20 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Barker says she was driving south on Vandalia Street in Collinsville in May 2009. As she approached the intersection of West Belt Line Road, Barker says Billy turned left directly in front of her as he attempted to turn into a private parking lot. Barker contends she had no time to react and was unable to avoid crashing into Billy.
Barker is suing Billy for negligence and asking to be paid more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, lost income and court costs.
