A suit over a 2007 car accident near an Alton High School that had been set for trial March 21 has been moved to the arbitration docket.

Plaintiff Aleatha Riddlespriger filed to amend her complaint reducing her damages request last month.

Madison County Circuit Judge David Hylla allowed the change and moved the case to arbitration. Hylla allowed the change Feb. 28.

Riddlespriger had previously sought damages in excess of $50,000 and costs in a suit filed against Denies McClintock.

Riddlespriger alleges that McClintock failed to yield, keep a look out and that she was speeding when her car collided with Riddlespriger's in July 2007 at an intersection near Alton High School.

Riddlespriger claims that she was injured in the crash.

The suit's trial would have begun at 9 a.m. Monday.

Robert Larson represents Riddlespriger.

Martin Morrissey represents McClintock.

The case is Madison case number 09-L-631.
