The son of a St. Clair County man is suing the woman who allegedly caused the crash that killed his father.
Nicholas Cain, on behalf of the estate of his father, Daniel Cain, filed the complaint Jan. 28 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Cynthia Campbell.
Cain says his father was driving south on Illinois Route 163 in March 2010. His father was allegedly driving near Valley View Drive in Millstadt when Campbell pulled out of a private drive and crashed into Cain.
Cain is suing for negligence and wrongful death. He is asking for more than $50,000 in damages.
Attorneys Michael J. Kane and Timothy P. Rhatigan of Chicago are representing Cain.
