A Collinsville property owner is suing the owner of a sports bar for nearly $98,000 in unpaid rent.
Vernon Dulaney filed the complaint in forcible entry and detainer against Sherry Lutmas, the owner of Sharky's Sports Bar, Restaurant & Billiards. Dulaney says Lutman has been occupying his property on Vandalia in Collinsville but hasn't paid rent since before January.
Dulaney is asking for $97,834 as payment for ten months of unpaid rent, attorney fees and court costs.
Attorney Mark S. Peebles of Belleville is representing Dulaney.
