St. Clair County woman sues driver for more than $50,000 in St. Louis crash

A St. Clair County woman is suing the driver she says rear-ended her while she was stopped at a red light.

Robin Pokojski filed the lawsuit against Jennifer Awsumb Sept. 14 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

In the petition, Pokojski claims she was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Cole Street and 9th Street in St. Louis when she was rear-ended by Awsumb. Pokojski says the impact of the crash caused injuries to her head, neck, shoulders, back and hands.
Pokojski accuses Awsumb of negligence and is asking for more than $50,000 to compensate for pain and mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages,
