A man has filed suit against the drivers of two vehicles that collided while attempting to make a left-hand turn.
Darnell Marshall Sr. claims he was riding in a vehicle defendant Kim J. Fort was driving south on Alton Square Mall Drive in the inside left turn lane on April 1 when she collided with defendant Shaun A. McCann, who was driving in the outside left turn lane.
According to the complaint filed Aug. 2 in Madison County Circuit Court, Marshall suffered injuries because of the collision.
He blames the defendants for causing the collision, saying they failed to keep a proper lookout, drove too fast, failed to stay in their appropriate lane of travel and failed to maintain proper control of their vehicle.
In his two-count complaint, Marshall is seeking a judgment of more than $100,000, plus costs.
He will be represented by Edward J. Szewczyk of Callis, Papa, Hale, Szewczyk and Danzinger in Granite City.
