Collinsville accident is subject of suit

A man has filed suit against the driver who he claims failed to keep a proper lookout and collided into his vehicle.

Christopher D. Mueth claims he was driving west on West Main Street at its intersection with Jefferson Avenue in Collinsville on Feb. 23 when defendant Patsy F. Webb, who drove east on West Main Street, collided with him.

Because of the accident, Mueth sustained injuries to various parts of his body, causing him to suffer pain and permanent disability and to incur medical costs, according to the complaint filed June 24 in Madison County Circuit Court.

Webb negligently made an improper left-hand turn, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to stop or swerve to avoid a collision, the suit states.

In his complaint, Mueth is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.

Brad L. Badgley of Belleville will be representing him.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 10-L-666.
