A woman has filed suit against the driver who she says rear-ended her vehicle.
Deanna Sinovic claims she was driving on Highway 161 approaching Wedgewood Dr. in Belleville on April 18, 2008, when defendant Becca Mixon, who was driving on the same road behind Sinovic, collided with the rear of Sinovic's vehicle.
Because of the collision, Sinovic suffered severe and permanent injuries, endured a great deal of pain and emotional suffering, incurred medical costs, endured the loss of a normal life and lost wages, according to the complaint filed April 14 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Mixon negligently failed to keep her vehicle under proper control to avoid a collision, failed to stop or reduce her speed to avoid a collision and failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles on the road, the suit states.
In her complaint, Sinovic is seeking a judgment of more than $75,000, plus costs.
