Professional coach to speak at next People in Business

Professional coach and owner of the St. Louis area division of The Entrepreneur's Source, Bruce McLaughlin, will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of 'People in Business."

The meeting will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Cafe Aroma, 138 North Main St. in Edwardsville.

McLaughlin will be speaking about "You, Inc. – Developing Your Unique Selling Proposition."

McLaughlin has been an educator since 1980. He began educational consulting in 2000 and has had the opportunity to speak at many state and national conferences on educational and leadership issues.

"My coaching practice focuses on three areas: business coaching, self-employment coaching, and career coaching for students," McLaughline said.

He has three graduate degrees, including a doctorate in educational leadership.

He has written a book titled, "The Jesus Affirmations: Using Biblically Based Truths to Develop Healthy Habits of Mind."

The People in Business networking group invites men and women of the business community to attend.

Meetings are held once a month in various locations including Collinsville, Edwardsville, Highland, Litchfield, O'Fallon and Wood River.

Missouri locations include Chesterfield and Valley Park.

Group Coordinator for this meeting is Sarah Hill, from the Tom Lane State Farm Insurance Co.

People in Business is designed to help build a support system and outreach connection for companies.

It provides an informal networking format and a convenient information exchange resource group.

Membership is free. A $6.50 attendance fee includes a snack breakfast and a drink.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes early to network before the meeting and bring extra business cards or brochures. Door prizes are always welcomed.
