A woman has filed suit against a tire store, alleging she tripped when she attempted to enter the store.
Pauline M. Boecklen claims she stumbled and fell when she entered Buster's Tire Mart at 215 Adams Drive in Belleville on Feb. 4.
Because of her fall, Boecklen was made sick, sore and lame, suffered pain, incurred medical costs and suffered a diminution of her ability to enjoy a normal life, according to the complaint filed Dec. 29 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Buster's negligently failed to provide an open, safe and adequate entry for its customers, failed to warn its customers of the unusual entry conditions and failed to provide hand holds for the public entering its store, the suit states.
Boecklen is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
