Millstadt accident caused injuries, suit claims

By Kelly Holleran | Dec 7, 2009

A woman has filed suit against a driver who she says turned in front of her, causing a collision.

Robyn E. White claims she was driving north on Illinois 158 North in Millstadt on Feb. 4, 2008, at about 8:20 a.m. when defendant Denise P. Dehler collided with her vehicle.

According to the complaint filed Dec. 2 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, White suffered severe and permanent injuries to her head, neck and back and experienced pain and mental anguish. In addition, she incurred medical costs and lost wages as the result of a disability she developed, the suit states.

Dehler negligently failed to keep her vehicle under control, failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to yield to traffic in front of her vehicle and drove too fast for the traffic conditions, the complaint says.

White is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.

William P. Gavin of the Gavin Law Firm in Belleville will be representing her.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-641.
