A woman has filed suit against the Casino Queen, alleging she fell in a walkway in a hotel bathroom.
Beverly Crowley claims she was a customer at Casino Queen on Sept. 19, 2008, when she slipped and fell on a negligently maintained walkway in a hotel bathroom.
Because of her fall, Crowley sustained injuries to her back, left knee, right knee, trunk, spinal column, vertebrae and intervertebral discs and has experienced headaches, according to the complaint filed Sept. 17 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
In addition, Crowley suffered damages to her nervous system, which has been shocked and deranged. She claims she experienced pain, mental anguish and an impaired ability to enjoy work and incurred medical costs of about $5,923.85, the suit states.
She blames Casino Queen for failing to keep the premises safe, for failing to replace unsafe water pipes, for failing to warn her of the dangerous condition and for failing to rope off the area.
Crowley is seeking a judgment of more than $25,000, plus costs.
Lynn A. Fischer of The Fischer Law Firm in Clayton will be representing her.
