A plaintiff in a Madison County suit says two corporations and two men have failed to pay him more than $600,000 after he won a lawsuit against them.
John J. Helms claims Advisors Capital Holding, Advisors Security Insurance, Richard E. Saunders and Harold G. Odum Jr. owe him the money after Dallas County District Court Judge Lorraine Raggio ruled in his favor on Dec. 12. Helms filed an affidavit for registration of foreign judgment in Madison County Circuit Court on March 11.
Helms claims the companies and men have failed to pay him $610,879.48, plus pre-judgment interest of five percent per annum on $576,384, pre-judgment interest of five percent per annum on $34,495.48, post-judgment interest at five percent per annum, attorneys' fees of $27,420.50 and costs.
