Kurtis Hileman, Nicole J. Hileman, April Hileman and Treece M. Leigh have filed suit against Gregory J. Edwards and Central Indiana Transport Express, alleging they were injured after a collision.
The plaintiffs were riding in a 1996 Dodge on Feb. 16, 2007, on Illinois Route 146 near I-57 in Union County when Edwards struck the vehicle in which they were riding, according to the complaint filed Feb. 6 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Because of the collision, Nicole J. Hileman, April Hileman and Treece M. Leigh suffered contusions, lacerations, sprains, strains of their heads, necks, back, shoulders, arms and legs and incurred medical expenses, the suit states.
They also claim they lost income.
Kurtis Hileman's vehicle sustained $7,692.75 worth of damages, according to the complaint.
In the four-count suit, the plaintiffs are seeking a judgment for compensation of the damage to the vehicle and a judgment in excess of $53,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.
They are represented by Ronald D. Robinson of Amelung, Wulff, Willenbrock and Pankowski in St. Louis.
