Motorcyclist sues driver over Cahokia accident

Robert Little Eagle has filed suit against Gregory Williams, alleging he was injured after Williams struck him while he was riding on a motorcycle.

Eagle was driving his motorcycle south on Water Street in Cahokia on June 20 near a driveway when Williams, who was backing out of the driveway, struck him, according to the complaint filed Jan. 29 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

Because of the accident, Eagle incurred medical bills and suffered a loss of income, pain and the loss of a normal life, the suit states.

Eagle claims Williams was negligent because he failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to yield to other traffic.

Eagle is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.

He is represented by Jon E. Rosenstengel of Bonifield and Rosenstengel.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 09-L-0051.
