A Red Bud woman has filed suit against a Belleville woman, alleging her head, neck, shoulder and back were injured after a collision.
Loretta Goodin was driving east on Illinois Route 15 in the right hand lane in St. Clair Township on Dec. 9, 2006, when Katherine G. Owen, who was driving east on the same road, struck Goodin, according to the complaint filed Nov. 24 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
In addition to her injuries, Goodin suffered a loss of income, and incurred medical costs, the suit states.
She claims Owen was negligent because she failed to keep her vehicle under control, swerved from the lane in which she was traveling into Goodin's lane and failed to stop in time to avoid striking Goodin's vehicle.
Goodin is seeking a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs.
