'Offset' language not included in work comp claim, suit says

Kenneth L. Boyle of Belleville filed a complaint against attorney Barry Bruhn and Reed & Bruhn P.C. of Belleville for allegedly failing to include "offset" language in a workers' compensation claim.

According to a suit filed Dec. 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, Boyle hired Bruhn after he was injured on the job March 22, 2004, while working for Symonds Mobile Home in Belleville.

Boyle claims Bruhn also allegedly failed to inform him that offset language would not be included in his claim and what the effects would be on his Social Security disability payments.

Represented by Jon E. Rosenstengel of Bonifield & Rosenstengel of Belleville, Boyle claims his damages are $67,110.64. He also is seeking costs of the suit.
