Douglas Borders of Belleville is suing Christopher Sutton of Belleville and Stephen Delligati of St. Louis for damages in excess of $100,000 over an auto accident that occurred Aug. 4, 2005, on the Poplar Street Bridge.
Borders, represented by James R. Williams of Williams, Caponi and Associates, claims that Sutton lost control of his vehicle, after which he struck Delligati's vehicle. Delligati's vehicle then collided with Borders' vehicle.
According to the lawsuit filed Aug. 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, all three vehicles were eastbound on Interstate 64 when the incident took place.
Borders claims that he sustained injuries to his neck and lower back.
He also alleges that he has expended money for medical care and has lost wages and will suffer an impairment of future earnings as a result of the accident.
