Litchfield defendant sued in Madison County

By Steve Gonzalez | Feb 14, 2007

Faith Lannom filed a personal injury suit against TTT Partners of Litchfield, in Madison County Circuit Court Feb. 8, seeking damages in excess of $50,000.

Represented by Michael McGlynn of Belleville, Lannom claims she was injured on Feb. 10, 2005, where TTT owns a retail shopping strip mall on West Union Avenue in Litchfield.

She claims TTT allowed ice to accumulate on the sidewalk where water from gutters spilled out upon the sidewalk causing her to slip and fall on the ice.

Lannom claims TTT negligently failed to provide safe ingress and egress to patrons, failed to conduct appropriate snow and ice removal, failed to recognize dangerous ice on its sidewalks, failed to remediate black ice that formed and failed to remedy a design defect where freezing water emptied directly on the sidewalk.

According to the complaint, Lannom broke bones in her ankle, tore ligaments and cartilage in her knee and injured her back causing pain, suffering, disability, lost wages, and medical expenses.

The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Nicholas Byron.
