Father and daughter sue for parking lot trip

A St. Clair County man and his daughter are suing a slew of tenants, owners and occupiers of property at 1706 West Highway 50 in O'Fallon for tripping in a hole in the parking lot.

Anthony S. Hall and Madeline M. Hall, a minor, claim serious injuries from an incident that took place Oct. 17, 2004.

Seeking in excess of $1 million, the Halls are suing Home Depot, Auffenberg Enterprises, St. Clair Auto Mall, Walter Property Investments, Simon Property Group, John Doe, Jane Doe and all other unknown defendants.

They claim the defendants were negligent for not maintaining the premises in a reasonably safe condition.

Anthony Hall claims he suffered injuries to his left ankle, left foot, left leg and the remainder of his body.

Madeline Hall claims injuries to her head, scalp, face, neck and the remainder of her body.

They both claim permanent disfigurement and disability, as well as physical pain and mental pain.

The Halls are represented by Rhonda D. Fiss of Belleville.
