Man claims he was run over by Ford truck

In a personal injury lawsuit filed in Madison County Circuit Court April 4, Michael Wolff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 from Randy Caldwell, who he claims ran over him with his Ford F250 truck.

Wolff claims the incident took place on Feb. 2, when he was on private property at 1020 Fosterburg Road in Brighton.

According to the complaint, Wolff fell into the truck and grabbed hold of it to keep from falling underneath the vehicle and as the vehicle gained speed, Wolff fell from the truck and was run over.

Wolff claims Caldwell negligently peeled out from a stopped position causing him to fall into the truck, continued to drive the truck while he was attempting to disengage himself from the truck, drove in excess of a speed that was reasonable for a yard area and failed to keep a proper lookout once he fell from the truck.

He claims he sustained injuries, incurred medical bills and lost wages as a result of the incident.

Wolff is represented by Jane Unsell of East Alton. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Nicholas Byron.
