Barratry will force nation into bankruptcy

To the editor:

Article II of the U.S. Constitution mandates the qualifications for the U.S. President. (Native born and 35 or more years old). To become president is a privilege, not a right.

Article III does not mandante any qualifications to become a U.S. judge. Any person may become a U.S. judge, it is a privilege also.

This privilege was confirmed and established by practice and common knowledge in Illinois until 1970 when the Illinois Constitution was altered in that only licensed lawyers could have the privilege to become Illinois judges. (Article 6).

Amendment XIV of the U.S. Constitution states, "No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States."

Article 6 of the Illinois Constitution is in violation of Article XIV of the U.S. Constitution: it is unconstitutional.

Barratry by lawyers has spawned a corrupt judicial system nationwide with Illinois the pack leader. This cancer will continue to metastasize until Article 6 is abrogated and cognizant citizens who are not pip squeak acolytes to lawyer bars are elected as state judges nationwide, or barratry by lawyers will force this nation into bankruptcy and anarchy.
