Mary L. Ubaudi v. William G. Humphrey, Rowe Construction, Mazda Motor of America

  • Ubaudi alleges Humphrey was driving too fast in his Mazda Miata during a Sept. 17, 2003, trip to Chicago from Madison County causing him to lose control of his vehicle, which overturned. Ubaudi is also seeking damages from Mazda because the seatbelt became disengaged causing her to be ejected from the vehicle. In total she seeks at least $250,000 in damages.

    Allen Mitchell v. Stephen Moravec, Allied Industries

  • Mitchell claims he ran his 2002 Mercedes into a grassy median on I-255 in Collinsville after the driveshaft fell off of a 1994 Mack trash truck at 4:43 a.m. on Dec. 2, 2002. He claims Moravec was negligent in failing to put out warning flares, remove the drive shaft from the road, and failing to inspect his truck before operating it. Mitchell seeks at least $100,000 in damages.

    Nicholaus Stephens v. Van Lenhardt Inc., dba Time Out Lounge, Van Lenhardt Individually, Time Out Lounge, Jason Boyd

  • Stephens alleges Boyd assaulted him without warning causing severe bodily injury at Mac's Timeout Bar in Alton. Stephens is seeking at least $50,000 in compensatory damages and at least $50,000 in punitive damages. Stephens is also seeking at least $150,000 from Van Lenhardt Inc., dba Mac's Time Out, Van Lenhardt individually, and Time Out Lounge.

    Sharon Dunn v. Jre Properties, Robert Tejada

  • Dunn claims the defendants refused to clean raw sewage out of her home at 216 S. Seminary in Collinsville which led to her receiving a fungal infection of the skin and fungus-induced asthma. She is seeking at least $100,000 in damages.

  • Clark alleges Summers, the landlord of 512 Broadway in East Alton, failed to repair the entrance way to his home. Clark fell, suffered serious injuries and seeks $50,000 in damages.
