  • On June 29 at 5:53 Shirley Cafferty of Wichita, Kan. was driving her 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier when Richard Duncan of Granite City allegedly ran into the rear of her car westbound on Highway 50 in Marion County, Kansas, causing her death from injuries substained in the crash.

  • On Oct. 7, 2001, Velma Burks of Alton, allegedly bit a chicken breast hitting the bone at the Cracker Barrel in Springfield. She claims she hurt her mouth and teeth. She claims the breast was unfit for human consumption.

She alleges that the strip was torn away. The Kettle River Racquet Club was formerly located on Highway 159 in Glen Carbon.
