A woman has sued over injuries she allegedly suffered after colliding with a motorcycle that had fallen off a trailer.

Denise D. Garrett filed a lawsuit March 2 in Madison County Circuit Court against Aaron M. Niemeyer of Wood River.

According to the complaint, Niemeyer should have more securely fastened his Harley Davidson to its Hogwild trailer prior to the accident Jan. 23 on state Route 255 in Foster Township. The suit says Garrett violently crashed her 2005 Pontiac Grand Am into the motorcycle, leading to "permanent and disabling injuries."

Garrett seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs. She is represented by attorney Matthew Chapman of Becker, Schroader and Chapman of Granite City.

Madison County Circuit Court, case number: 15L258.
