Family sues woman for allegedly driving through pole barn, hitting their car

An Illinois family is suing a woman for allegedly hitting their car after leaving the road and driving though a pole barn.

Ashli Jo Gapinski, Christopher Gapinski and Jacqulyn Gapinski filed the claim in Madison County Circuit Court on Nov. 24 against Megan L. Franklin.

According to the complaint, Ashli Jo Gapinski and Jacqulyn Gapinski were driving on Seminary Road on Oct. 29 when Franklin’s car went through a pole barn, across grass and into the left side of the Gapinskis' car. Both women were severely injured in the collision, the suit states.

The Gapinski family is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court fees.

They are represented by attorney Thomas O. Falb of Williamson, Webster, Falb & Glisson in Alton.
