A St. Clair County mother is suing a driver and the man who was allegedly supervising her son when he was hit and killed by a car.
Melissa Yarber, as special administrator of the Estate of Logan Steven Adams, filed suit Sept. 9 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Jessica R. Patton and Brandon Adams.
Yarber says her son was with Adams on June 29. The two were playing outside in the 500 block of North Van Buren Street in West Frankfort when Patton allegedly drove her Toyota Corolla down the street and hit Logan with her car. The boy died from his injuries, according to the lawsuit.
Adams and Patton are accused of negligence. Yarber is asing for more than $100,000 in damages, plus court costs. She is represented by attorney Bruce R. Cook of Belleville.
