Two men have filed suit against the driver who they allege struck their vehicles in a head-on collision.

Brian M. Turner and Wayne Isom allege they were driving on State Street in O'Fallon on Aug. 16, 2013, when defendant Lynn A. Ferguson, who was driving while distracted, struck their vehicles.

Due to the collision, Turner and Isom suffered disability and disfigurement, endured great pain and mental anguish and lost earnings, according to the complaint. They also incurred medical costs and suffered from a seriously diminished earning capacity, the suit states.

Ferguson negligently drove over the center line, drove while distracted, failed to keep his vehicle in his lane and drove in a manner that violated Illinois law, the complaint says.

In their complaint, the plaintiffs seek a judgment of more than $100,000, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.

They will be represented by Gregory M. Tobin of Pratt and Tobin in East Alton.

The case number is St. Clair County Circuit Court case 14-L-600.
