A woman is suing after she slipped and fell while at Garden Ridge in O'Fallon.
Sharon Safiq filed a lawsuit Jan. 31 in St. Clair Circuit Court against Garden Ridge Holding Inc. and O'Fallon Ridge LLC, doing business as Garden Ridge, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 8, 2012, the defendants were operating a business at 1287 Central Park Drive, O'Fallon. The complaint says on that day Shafiq was a customer at the defendant's business when she slipped and fell, causing injuries.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000.
She is being represented in the case by attorney Blake G. Meinders.
