Madison County jurors on Thursday ruled in favor of Wild Duck Saloon in a Dram Shop and negligence suit brought by a customer who claimed injuries at the hands of another bar patron.

Plaintiff Thomas Garrett sued the Alton bar in 2012 claiming he was assaulted there by an allegedly intoxicated person on Oct. 9, 2011. Garrett claimed he received serious injuries to his head that caused bleeding in his brain.

Garrett sought more than $100,000 in damages for pain and suffering, medical expenses and disability.

Attorney Michael R. Glisson of Alton represented Garrett.

Attorney John Cunningham of Belleville represented Wild Duck Saloon.

Circuit Judge William Mudge presided.
