BELLEVILLE — A shopper is suing Wal-Mart after she allegedly slipped on grocery stickers while attempting to grab something on the bottom shelf.

Juliette E. Dintelmann filed a complaint on May 2 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Walmart Stores, alleging the defendant failed to exercise ordinary care in keeping the premises safe at its Walmart Supercenter located on Green Mount Commons Drive in Belleville.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 6, 2017, she was shopping at the Wal-Mart Supercenter located on Green Mount Commons Drive in Belleville. She claims she was leaning over to pick up a jar of peanut butter from the bottom shelf when her left foot slipped out from under her, causing her to fall on her right knee and wrist.

As a result, Dintelmann claims she suffered physical injuries, lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Wal-Mart failed to remove or pick up grocery stickers which had fallen on the floor of its premises and failed to warn shoppers of the dangerous condition on the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs of suit and any other further relief the court deems just and appropriate.

She is represented by Brad L. Badgley of Brad L. Badgley PC in Belleville.
