Man alleges ex-wife recorded phone conversation with son, posted on social media

BELLEVILLE — A man claims his ex-wife recorded his private phone calls with his minor son and posted the conversations on Facebook without consent.

An ex-husband is suing his ex-wife, Trissa Jenkins, citing alleged deliberate exposure and invasion of privacy.

Chad Beintker filed a complaint on Feb. 28, in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Trissa Jenkins, alleging she violated the Illinois Eavesdrop Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in February 2015 until present time, Beintker's private telephone visitation calls with his son, a minor, have been illegally and criminally tape recorded and were unlawfully posted on Facebook without his consent.

As a result, Beintker claims he suffered emotional trauma, knowing that his private calls have been taped.

The plaintiff alleges Jenkins invaded his privacy and deliberately exposed him.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award of compensatory damages in an amount in excess of $50,000 plus costs and any other further relief the court deems just and proper.

He is represented by Eric M. Rhein in Belleville.
