BELLEVILLE — A motorcyclist claims a motorist crashed into him while he was stopped to make a left turn.

Devin J. Gardner filed a complaint on Sept. 26 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Aunyae N. Beckley, alleging the motorist drove the vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 30, he was operating a motorcycle and was stopped in his lane of traffic waiting to make a left turn when an automobile being driven by the defendant suddenly collided with his motorcycle.

He claims he sustained injuries that have resulted in pain, disability, disfigurement and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Beckley failed to keep proper lookout and failed to stop, slow down, swerve or avoid colliding with the plaintiff's motorcycle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation in an amount exceeding $50,000, plus costs of this suit. He is represented by Brad A. Badgley of Brad A. Badgley PC in Belleville.
